Sometimes designs don’t have to have much of a point and are simply innovative concepts; take the Electrolux Fireplace, for instance. A creation both hot and cool--figuratively and literally--it brings no new purpose to heating systems, it just has a unique gimmick.
Made from a special form of ceramic, the Electrolux Fireplace turns transparent when heated and becomes opaque when cooled. Designed by Camillo Vanacore, it can be used indoors and outdoors. Watch the video, the transformation is pretty neat.
