Election-Timed Food Promotions

Subway Moves Its Sandwich Celebration Ahead of Election Day

Subway is introducing election-timed food promotions by moving its National Sandwich Day celebration to October 27, one week before the November 3 midterm elections. The adjusted schedule gives the restaurant chain a separate promotional opportunity while combining returning menu favorites with exclusive digital discounts.

The campaign brings back the Fritos Chicken Enchilada Sub, last available in 2014, alongside the Caramel Apple Cookie, which previously appeared in 2021. Both items return for a limited period, offering customers familiar flavors. Sub Club members can also receive a complimentary Footlong with another qualifying Footlong purchase through November 8 when ordering online or through the Subway app.

For Subway, the campaign creates opportunities to attract returning customers while encouraging participation in its loyalty program. Combining nostalgic products with app-exclusive savings could increase digital orders and strengthen customer engagement during the promotional period.
