Bumble recently rolled out its new Election Filters to help singles find others that share the same political views. While politics is often treated as a taboo subject, the topic is generally a strong indicator of compatibility. Now Bumble is letting individuals share their political leanings upfront, in order to help users find the perfect match.
Bumble's Elections Filters is a new feature that allows users to brand their profile with the name their presidential candidate of choice. Instead of simply stating which candidate the user supports, the filters use a red or blue tint to indicate support for democrats or republicans. The filters also include a cartoon icon of the presidential hopeful and a popular campaign slogan such as 'Feel the Bern!' or 'Don't be a Chump, Vote for Trump.' There are even non-partisan options such as 'Pizza for President' or '#Kanye2020.'
Besides functioning as a conversation starter, the new filters provide a unique way for users to search for a compatible partner.
