Over the past few years, a number of conscious consumers have been seeking healthy alternatives to potato chip snacks—and Greenwave Foods aims to provide a satisfying new option with its 'Crunch-a-mame' edamame snacks.

The organic edamame puffs boast two grams of fiber, between six to seven grams of protein per serving and half the fat of traditional potato chip snacks. In addition to this, the snacks boast an appealing texture and fun flavors like Chompin' Cheesy Cheddar, Nearly Naked and Backyard Cookout Barbecue.

Since edamame is such a great source of protein, a proprietary extrusion process was meticulously developed over the course of a year to ensure that the snacks are able to offer as much nutritional value as possible. This new bean-based snack is now making its debut at Natural Products Expo West and is set to challenge other puffed snack products on the market as a better-for-you alternative.
