This ecological public restroom has been designed by MOL Arquitectura as a structure to offer outdoor explorers with a place to relieve themselves when enjoying the scenic surroundings in Spain. The structure overlooks the River Miño and Deva in O Valińo in Trado, Spain to provide the popular hiking route with a spot for visitors and citizens alike to freshen up. The building is achieved with prefabricated concrete modules that has been further enhanced with a series of protruding facades that are bioclimatic.
The ecological public restroom features space for men and women along with an interconnecting area between the two to let visitors interact after using the facilities. The building is equipped with water conservation technology as well as lighting that consumes less than 100W, while local FSC-certified wood was used in the construction.
