One of the early promises of the internet was a system that could connect people of all cultures from anywhere around the world, and EarthChat is a new app that helps to fulfill that potential through the use of advanced language-processing. The app provides users with real-time language translation built directly into the messaging platform itself, helping people to communicate no matter which language they speak.
EarthChat was started thanks to a very personal problem in the founder's life. Her family in China only speaks Mandarin, but her husband's family in the US speaks only English. Though it's easy for the two families to literally connect via a phone call or a video chat, they couldn't communicate because of the language barrier. EarthChat solves that with its real-time language translations in over 100 languages.
