The E Ink Prism is a technology, unveiled at CES 2015, that allows for the creation of dynamic walls that change color and display animated patterns. The technology has the potential to transform architecture and design.
Once a room is outfitted with Prism, the ceilings, walls and doors can be configured to change color or display animation. The technology could also be used to create interactive navigation that aids people around buildings and campuses and create a smarter indoor experience in general. For example, a door could be programmed to turn red when there is a meeting taking place inside.
Large-scale implementation of E Ink Prism is expected to commence by the end of the year, with the target markets being the architecture and design sectors.
