Trek Bicycles launched the 'Domane+,' a no-frills e-bike with a design heavily inspired by traditional pedal bikes. This e-bike does not feature a smart display or Bluetooth-controlled riding modes to make it more similar to a manual bicycle. Additionally, the bike controls similarly to a traditional bike with the controls for brakes and gear shifts being embedded into the handles. The electric aspect of the Domane+ only comes into play when the bike determines that the rider could benefit from extra electric motorized pedal assistance.
In addition to its minimalist design and simplistic operation, the Domane+ is incredibly lightweight, weighing only 25.9lbs when fully equipped. The bike achieves a max speed of 28 mph with its TQ-HPR50 motor, and reaches around 90 miles on a single charge with its 360 Wh battery.
