It's not often that something like a dog light switch makes a big difference in the home, but when the owner has special need it becomes a necessity. This dog light switch allows Heleen, a woman with limited mobility and her canine companion the ability to work together to turn the lights on and off with only a word.

When you have limited mobility or other special needs simple tasks can become more difficult. Things like switching the lights on and off go from being an afterthought to something that needs special attention. Service dogs are helpful in a lot of ways, but they are limited in certain aspects.

With the dog light switch, one of those limits is thrown by the wayside. They even show how to make the switch so those that have specific needs can make it themselves.
