These Scary Star Wars Stoves are Made From Repurposed Gas Canisters

These DIY wood stoves were inspired by the Star Wars epics and created by high school technology teacher Alex Dodson. The creations are ominous-looking and awesome, filtering fiery flames through Darth Vader's eyes, nose and grated mouth.

To create these DIY wood stoves, Dodson uses empty gas canisters from his classes. To transform these pieces of junk into functional pieces of art, he uses a sledge hammer, lacquer and an array of tools in his welding rig. In addition to Star Wars-themed stoves, he has also cooked up Batman, Ironman and Terminator versions.

If roasting marshmallows off a Stormtrooper's glowing eyeball sounds like fun, Alex Dodson sells and ships his creations as far as Australia. If your handy skills are up to par, follow Dodson's lead and try building your very own sci-fi wood-burning stove.
