Running away from your camera is not very hard to do—it’s DIY motion photography for dummies. The only sinfully simple steps to have some camera fleeing photos of your own is to find yourself a nice background. It could be a meadow, a busy playground or cityscape—whatever you like. Then put the self-timer on two seconds, push the button and then let the spirit of a fleeing horse overcome you.

Try again and again, until you like what you see. You’ll also get the double benefit of getting a short workout. See the gallery for some of the best examples of DIY motion photography.
