This collection of images was shot by photographer Paco Peregrín for an editorial feature in Ae magazine called “The Blood Show."

Kattaca was responsible for the art direction, digital art and styling of this disturbing photo shoot, which features fake meat, a beheaded toy bunny in a pool of blood and a model crying bloody tears.

Implications - The success of horror movies has shown that people love gritty, disturbing things. As entertainment continues to push the envelop, photographers and artists alike are more likely to produce controversial work as a response to the tolerance that occupies society today. Themes of macabre and horror aren't just for fans of the genres anymore; the mainstream is slowly catching on to a whole new era of horror.
