Androgynous Disney Makeup Looks

Richard Schaefer Transforms Himself into Iconic Cartoon Princesses

Richard Schaefer is a talented young makeup artist that utilizes the transformative powers of cosmetics to transform himself into an array of iconic cartoon princesses in a series of Disney makeup looks. The end result is a stunningly accurate and subversively androgynous portrayal of characters such as Ariel, Belle and Snow White brought to life.

The makeup looks take Schaefer roughly two hours apiece to complete and employ techniques such as highlighting and contouring to enhance and carve out certain features that each princess has. In addition to using cosmetic products to change the shape of his face, skin color and eyes, Schaefer also makes the princess costumes by hand.

The makeup looks empower gender bending and fluidity with popular characters.
