Disney has released a 20-inch HDTV in Japan designed with the mouse trademark and four-fingered gloves marked on the frame just below the LCD screen. Created by Uniden it includes 1366Ã—768 resolution, 2Ã—3W speakers with both TruSurround TX and TruBass, and 2 HDMI ports. It's only available in Japan for about $800.
Implications - Disney is a pop culture icon which capitalizes on its constant brand presence. By introducing electronics with their trademark logo, the brand's identity is further embedded in your mind, causing Disney branding to continue to grow. Companies that have a unique, iconic stance similar to Disney can market into unusual ventures in order to grasp a different target group. The constant brand presence that these items provide will leave a lasting impression on a consumer's mind.
