As the 'Dijora and Kristina' photo series demonstrates, women can very easily be compared to butterflies. Both are beautiful, delicate and full of vibrancy. Nevertheless, the woman in this shoot has something more than the butterfly. The woman is capable of expressing all of these things and more through the look in her eyes, the tilt of her head or the way her body moves. The Dijora and Kristina series captures these subtleties in a short but sweet shoot.

Lensed by Hideo and Natalie Shau, two photographers based in Vilnius, Lithuania, the Dijora and Kristina photo series is intriguingly dark. Instead of mimicking the butterfly's colorful wings, the black backdrop and gowns allow the bevy of butterflies to stand out. Their presence gives the models a whimsical look.
