The gaming world has shifted substantially since the introduction of first person POV games, but the highly anticipated release of DICE Mirror's Edge Catalyst is an experience that will challenge both gamers and manufacturers alike with the augmented hyper-reality it presents.
Though DICE Mirror's Edge Catalyst is part of a series, it does not boast itself as a sequel to the first Mirror's Edge, but rather an enhanced version of the game based on player feedback and developer instincts. Following its official release at the E3 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo, rooftop jumps, explosions, parkour parkour and other stunts will no longer belong to dreamers, but to loyalists of the DICE Mirror's Edge brand.
According to DICE, Catalyst will honor the first game by "pushing the boundaries of first person movement and diving deeper into the story behind our heroine Faith." Gamers can also anticipate "a lot of great new, interesting gameplay and features to the experience for our players."
