Cutting-Edge Crystalline Gadgets

The Diamond Audio Collection Takes Alluring, Multifaceted Forms

It's quite easy to be impressed by the glossy gadgets that make up the Diamond audio collection. Slim and sleek is certainly a popular style for electronics at the moment; however, the abstract forms of these products add another gripping dimension to them.

Cátia Pereira designed the four hi-tech items for the Zipy Company Contest; the challenge was to dream up mp5, mp4 and mp3 players, as well as a pair of headphones. Each of these was executed with a geoform modeling approach that has produced complex surfaces that form flat faces with creases between them. Consequently, every item within the Diamond audio collection catches the light and reflects it at various divergent angles. Combined with vivid displays and glowing teal buttons, the devices are digital-age gems.
