Automation-Focused Developer Collaborations

The OpenTAP Program Welcomes Four New Participants

The OpenTAP project is essentially a high-profile developer collaboration that seeks to propel "the idea of effortless automation" in the ecosystem of testing and management. The initiative was launched in May 2019 by Nokia and Keysight Technologies Inc. -- a tech company that seeks to assist "enterprises, service providers and governments accelerate innovation to connect and secure the world."

In September 2019, the automation-focused developer collaboration welcomed four new participants -- 5G-VINNI, Page Electronica NV, TandM Solutions, and Tokalabs. The core prototype is a test sequencer and the open-source approach of the program allows for participants to continuously inflict updates, adding plugins and other solutions that will ensure efficiency across-the-board.

As reported by Jason Hicks -- the director of TandM Solutions, the open-source developer collaboration delivers a framework with "a complete and flexible toolchain" that he has not come across in his twenty years of experience in the field.
