David, a brand known for its high-performance protein bars formulated with elevated macronutrient profiles, has officially expanded its product lineup with the launch of wild-caught Pacific cod filets, unveiled on July 14.
Available exclusively online, the new offering includes four premium cod filets priced at $55. Sourced through a sustainable harvest led by Kyle Lee of the Alaskan Salmon Company, each filet is carefully processed, flash-frozen to preserve peak freshness, and then shipped via a streamlined fulfillment system to ensure optimal quality upon delivery. This new product is offered alongside David’s signature 12-pack protein bars, which retail for $39.
“In our product, 75 percent of our calories are coming from protein. To contextualize that product performance against the broader food landscape, processed or unprocessed, we put a comparison table on our website,” Rahal told the Wall Street Journal. “Our chief science officer was like, ‘Well, what has a better protein-to-calorie ratio than our bar?’ We started searching, and he found boiled cod.”
