The french edition of Stylist Magazine recently shot brunette model Daphne Velghe in a military-themed editorial for its April 2014 issue.
To complement the tough, military theme of the shoot, Velghe was dressed in army green olive toned coats, sheer white button-up blouses, bejeweled sailor hats and thigh-high black socks to mimic a soldier's tall boots. Velghe's heavy bottom and top-winged eyeliner and chiseled cheekbones gave her a more structured and masculine look. Her piercing blue eyes and fierce head tilt says it all: this is not a girl you want to pick a fight with. The set was kept minimal and monochromatic to not take away focus from Velghe and the clothes with a simple white background and fold-up black film chair.
My favorite accessory that Velghe wore were a pair of dissident meets high-fashion finger-less, white Chanel pearl gloves.
