Being a new dad comes with a lot of unexpected surprises, so one company is offering dad boot camp classes, to prepare the paternal figure for his challenging new role.
The Vancouver-based company Dancing Star Birth has been offering prenatal classes to mothers, but has more recently opened its doors to fathers with a series of dad-specific lesson plans. During these classes, men will learn the various ways in which they can support their partner during labor, receive tips on bonding with a newborn, set personal fatherhood goals and joint expectations while gaining an understand of strategies for maintaining a work-family balance and paternity leave.
Each session intends to help one prepare for the emotional and mental process of becoming a father.
