Artists and designers are transforming Toronto's historic Gladstone Hotel into an immersive multi-level exhibition at the city's annual CUTMR2019 (Come Up To My Room) event.
Over 50 of the city's artists came together to create large and small site-specific installations that will remain in place between January 17th - January 20th. The public is invited to explore this year's theme of 'BAM! KAPOW! ZAAAAP!' The theme encouraged the artists to re-interpret the idea of "optimistic superheroes" in an effort to combat the harsh political climate most young urban dwellers are struggling to navigate. Both lighthearted and full of lights and colors, the Gladstone's annual Come up to my room seamlessly integrated art and design into Toronto's landscape and community.
