Sony Makes Its Crystal LED Screen Available as a Luxury Item

Sony recently revealed its Crystal LED screen, which will now be available to consumers in an adapted version. Customers will have to purchase the Crystal LED screen through certified dealers. The screen measures in at 63 feet wide and has a 16K resolution. The screen is an extreme luxury item and costs $5.8 million.

The screen uses micro-LED modules, and three small LEDs for all of the individual pixels. The screen functions very similarly to existing OLED technology, the only difference is the degree of brightness. Sony's Crystal LED screen operates at 1,000 nit brightness as well as grayscale at 10-bits. This put Sony's Crystal LED screens at a very high level of color reproduction. Sony states that the screen also has high-level 3D capabilities.
