Next-Generation Display Systems

Sony Emphasizes Color Quality in Its New Display Offerings

Sony has unveiled its next-generation display system, which features advanced signal processing technology that enables individual control of high-density RGB LED backlights. This innovation allows each red, green, and blue LED to operate independently, which results in exceptional color purity and a wide color gamut.

By leveraging proprietary backlight control technology, the next-generation display system achieves precise gradation and nuanced shading across the entire brightness spectrum. This makes Sony's offerings ideal for both professional film production and home entertainment. The system supports over 99% of the DCI-P3 color space and approximately 90% of the BT.2020 standard, ensuring vibrant and true-to-life colors. Additionally, its peak brightness of over 4000 cd/m², combined with dynamic power allocation for RGB channels, allows for vivid detail in both bright and dark scenes without compromising color accuracy.

The display’s ability to faithfully reproduce subtle hues and intricate light variations ensures that creators’ artistic visions are accurately conveyed, while viewers can enjoy a more immersive and lifelike visual experience.
