It doesn't matter how great or small, every piece of furniture has the potential to be beautiful. The Cruz Stool is an example of an often under-explored object which has, in this case, been created with a thoughtful design and careful craftsmanship.
The poised little perch takes its curve-hugging shape from the form of an old tractor seat which contributes to its rustic charm. The three legs that balance the sitting surface seem to reference an antique milkmaid's stool. Together, these delicate features compose a slim and graceful seating object which is "small enough to be put in a closet, pretty enough to be left out."
Made by Goebel & Co. Furniture, the Cruz Stool's colloquial qualities actually work with the rich formality of the piece. It's carved of gorgeous Ebonized Walnut, Cherry or Black Walnut wood, so how could this simple seat be treated with anything but aesthetic respect?
