Birkenstock Launched a Cruelty-Free Skincare Range Powered by Cork Oak

Birkenstock is known for making the footbed of its iconic sandals with resilient and renewable cork, that comes from cork oak trees—but it is now also exploring some of the anti-aging properties of cork with its own cruelty-free skincare range.

The footwear company's new line of skincare products is entirely vegan, with a focus on the use of renewable raw materials and eco-friendly, refillable packaging designs.

Birkenstock notes that cork oak's "beauty benefits were only discovered recently by scientists in the cosmetics industry: This natural extract, obtained from the outer layers of cork oak, possesses highly effective anti-aging properties." The cruelty-free skincare range includes groups of products like Natural Comfort for daily use, Natural Moisture, Natural Man, as well as Natural Age Control to smooth and revitalize mature skin.
