Facebook Added New Features for Its Crisis Response Tool

Facebook recently updated its Crisis Response tool, which has been used to mark individuals safe during various crises in the past. The additions to the Crisis Response tool include the ability to share information that others may want to know. Additionally, Facebook added WhatsApp integration for the feature, which will drastically extend the reach of the Crisis Response tools.
The new feature allows on the ground information to be easily shared with other users on the platform. Often times in emergency situations information is time-sensitive, and the feature could help provide vital information when it's needed. Additionally adding the tools to WhatsApp will allow far more people to access the Crisis Response tools.
