Terrifying Tea Commercials

This Herbaria Tea Creative Commercial Uses Dramatic Imagery

This creative commercial uses overly dramatic and errie horror imagery to convey its message in under 60 seconds.

The Herbaria Tea commercial features images of an utterly terrifying clown and other ghoul-like figures embroiled in a tortuous struggle. The clown is trying to swim towards the light and escape from the clutches of the evil chainsaw-wielding madman pursuing him.

Just as both characters are about to reach the surface, they are pulled back down again by giant teabags attached to their feet like anchors. The tagline at the end is clear and effective: "Drown your fears, Herberia Calming Tea." This is a creative commercial that packs a punch and leaves a lasting impression.

The commercial was created by director Andy Roth.
