Booking.com created its Turbulence Test stays to let travel companions try curated compatibility challenges through limited-time hotel packages. The program is available at nine partner properties across the U.S. beginning Sept. 14. Each stay includes a physical kit with conversation prompts, “Would You Rather?” dilemmas, Red Flag/Green Flag speed rounds, blindfolded taste tests and a final compatibility survey.
Properties customize the experience with additions such as resort credits, late checkout, local excursions and park tickets. Participating locations include Lotte Hotel New York, Hotel Zephyr San Francisco and Circa Resort & Casino, while select stays add cocktail or mocktail kits, bicycle rentals and property-specific couples games.
The stays turn common travel stressors into structured moments for exploring money habits, etiquette and boundaries. The concept reflects demand for experience-led travel, helping Booking.com transform consumer research into bookable inventory while giving partner hotels differentiated packages that can attract relationship-focused travelers.
