Beavertown Brewery Has a New Cosmic Drop Tropical Beer

— May 21, 2026 — Lifestyle
Enfield-based Beavertown Brewery is expanding its popular Cosmic Drop lineup to include a new Cosmic Drop Tropical variety for the summer season.

The new Cosmic Drop Tropical variety is based on the brand's existing Cosmic Drop Berry beer. The new version combines a crisp lager base with juicy tropical fruit flavors that pair well with warm-weather consumption. In other words, it's a fruit-forward twist on a clean drinking lager. As Genna Burchel, Head of Commercial Marketing at Beavertown Brewery, explains: “We’re seeing strong demand for lighter, fruit-led beers, especially in summer. Cosmic Drop Tropical builds on the success of Berry, giving retailers a fresh, tropical take on lager to tap into that trend.”

Cosmic Drop Tropica is launching across the U.K. this summer and will be available from select retailers and pubs.

Trend Themes

  1. Tropical Fruit-infused Lagers — The fusion of crisp lager bases with tropical fruit profiles is creating space for new flavor-driven portfolio extensions aimed at summer consumption.
  2. Fruit-forward Low-abv Beers — Increasing consumer preference for lighter, fruit-led brews is shifting product development toward low-ABV formats that prioritize refreshment over intensity.
  3. Seasonal Limited-edition Drops — Timed summer releases tied to limited availability are generating urgency and enabling rapid experimentation with variant flavors and small-batch production.

Industry Implications

  1. Craft Brewing — Flexible recipe development and rapid pilot batching in craft brewing enables testing of tropical variants and swift adjustments to consumer taste signals.
  2. On-trade Retail Pubs — Pubs and on-trade retailers experience heightened footfall during summer with demand for light, fruit-forward lagers that pair with warm-weather menus.
  3. Packaging and Canning — Innovations in single-serve cans and shelf-stable fruit-infused formulations are creating avenues for wider distribution and impulse purchase appeal.
