Faber-Castell Cosmetics' Protopia Pencils are Refillable

Like a mechanical pencil that can be refilled as needed, Protopia is a new concept for refillable cosmetic pencils from German manufacturer Faber-Castell Cosmetics. This sustainable innovation was presented at Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna 2023 as part of a new collection called Protopia. When a beauty consumer needs to replenish their color cosmetic or if they just desire a change in color, they can add in a new cartridge.

"While wooden pencils are an important segment that is highly appreciated by professional make-up artist, mechanical plastic pencils are our key category," Dagmar Chlosta, President, told Premium Beauty News, "Consumers appreciate them because they are more convenient to use and facilitate make-up application. Therefore, it is of the highest importance to decrease their environmental footprint."
