Furniture and home goods design company 'Tom Will Make' released its first set of cork coasters honoring the natural beauty of the U.S. frontier.
Made in America, the set of four layered 'Topo Coasters' detail the natural topographical elevation of the Red River Gorge, located in the state of Kentucky. On the back of each of the cork coasters are the engraved and veneer-covered geographic coordinates of the corresponding landmark.
The choice to use cork material for the coasters has several additional benefits as well. The natural cork material comes from the bark of the Cork Oak tree and is able to be collected without doing any actual damage to the tree itself. Cork is also highly absorbent but quick drying, so if you do spill a little of your drink while enjoying the scenic coaster view you won't need to worry.
