Designed by Liam de la Bedoyere, the Corctus reimagines the traditional coat stand as a sculptural storage piece made entirely from cork. Inspired by the form of a saguaro cactus, the freestanding design merges coat stand, pinboard, and organizer into a single object without relying on visible hooks or hardware. The textured cork surface securely holds lightweight items such as sunglasses while also allowing notes, sketches, and reminders to be pinned directly into the body. Its upward-curving branches naturally support bags, scarves, headphones, and other everyday essentials through their geometry alone.
A circular base adds another layer of functionality by providing space for books, magazines, or small personal belongings while maintaining a compact footprint. Rather than resembling conventional office or hallway furniture, the warm cork construction gives the piece a softer, more sculptural presence suited to living spaces, work areas, or entryways.
