The futuristic eco village concept involves placing entire modular housing communities on top of massive seismic-resistant concrete piers. As for the sustainable elements of the 'Coral Reef' by Vincent Callebaut, each house on the Coral Reef would have its own garden plot in order to grow food while the entire village would generate its energy from wind, solar and tidal power in order to make it as close to being completely carbon neutral as possible.
