Cooking can be a dull and tedious activity for many people, which is why the Cooreator was dreamed up. This 2014 Electrolux Design Lab finalist entry makes the chore an engaging multi-sensory experience. While you work away on chopping, blending and baking, this countertop appliance will do its own mixing, translating your ingredient choices into unique audio tracks.
Pass edibles in front of the scanner of the figure-eight-shaped device and it will identify them instantly. The software would be programmed to pair certain colors and flavors and even food combinations to particular sounds, rhythms and melodies. Yu Yi's concept appliance would continually generate and emit different interactive harmonies that correspond the the stage of your recipe and even its temperature. Furthermore, you would have the opportunity to share the Cooreator's cuisine compositions over social media.
