The 'Commune' app aims to help organize projects for social good by providing organizers with a key set of tools. The app helps good Samaritans find volunteers and raise awareness for their projects. Using Commune, anybody can find projects, invite friends and organize times.
When you want to start a project for public good, you can create an event and then invite people to participate. Invites can be sent to friends, people in your college or people in your entire city. Invitees can then comment on your project and commit to helping.
The Commune app is currently available for students in Columbia University, New York University and Oxbridge. Initially, only students at Columbia were introduced to the app.
