Commemoration by Greg Smith, a recent graduate from Kingston University, is a series of glass vessels that have the sole purpose of containing memories of the dead. Specifically, it preserves the scent of certain items, be it a shirt or a brush or even a substance of some sort. A poetic collection, it profits on the nostalgic by reminding people that it is more often than not the little things that matter most. It also offers a modern spin on traditional rituals such as cremation.
Comprised of three vessels, Commemoration by Greg Smith provides a glass dome for a brush, breathing device for clothing and a flask for hold DNA. All of the containers come complete with stoppers that allow people to reconstruct the deceased's scent.
