Star Burger is expanding its menu with the 'Canes Burger,' a permanent burger built around double-stacked smash patties and a University of Miami Athletics tie-in. The fast-casual brand made it its official burger for the Miami Hurricanes during the 2026-2027 season.
The burger uses 100% grass-fed and grass-finished beef from the Estrella family's Mt. Pleasant ranch. It also features aged cheddar, a crispy tostón round, and 'Cat 5' pesto sauce, with the colors and ingredients echoing the team's orange and green.
At the 2,750-square-foot flagship near campus, the burger turns a sports partnership into a menu item that can keep drawing traffic after the season ends. Permanent placement gives Star Burger a branded signature item instead of a short-run promo, making the collaboration easier to build around as the location grows.
