Collectible Character Meal Promotions

McDonald's Introduces Pokémon Toys and Trading Cards

Collectible character meal promotions are expanding as McDonald's partners with Pokémon to introduce a limited-edition Happy Meal collection across Canada. The promotion combines miniature Happy Meal box-shaped toys featuring recognizable Pokémon characters with trading cards, giving customers two types of collectibles in one purchase.

Available through November 30, 2026, the collection includes 15 toys featuring characters such as Pikachu, Eevee, Bulbasaur, and Sprigatito. Each Happy Meal also contains two Pokémon Trading Card Game cards, with 15 designs available, including seven foil varieties. In Quebec, customers receive a Pokémon sticker and a four-card booster pack instead of the miniature toys.

For McDonald's, the collection could encourage repeat purchases as customers seek additional characters and cards. The collaboration also creates opportunities to attract Pokémon enthusiasts beyond traditional Happy Meal audiences, while extending the entertainment franchise's presence through restaurant merchandise.
