The Coffee Man by Ruth Jenson is a structure made out of wire featuring a man leisurely drinking coffee from a paper cup. This unique man knows how to enjoy an endless coffee break, full of reading and enjoyment -- he’s even accompanied by a cute wired man’s best friend.

The Coffee Man is pretty popular on the web and it now belongs to Etsy’s Headquarters in New York. Even though minimalist, this wire sculpture is truly a wonder because the man’s face and posture actually shows happiness and pleasure -- one can’t deny that the Coffee Man is having a blast. I believe that his realism is what awakes so much love for this friend and his dog.

Additionally, wire is simple a fun material to work with, as it creates almost invisible 3-D art works. The artist explains, “I think wire is a magical medium: almost fluid in its flexibility, incredibly lightweight, amazingly sturdy and resilient, eco-friendly, and capable of producing infinite effects.” The Coffee Man certainly created many visual and emotional effects -- he is just hilarious and entertaining to watch.
