The Cloudy House installation is made up of countless geometric clouds that have been fashioned out of white matte paper. Creating an overcast climate at Andersen’s Contemporary Berlin, the pixelated sculptures are fascinating to behold. It almost gives the illusion that a visitor has just stepped into a computer program or video game. The Cloudy House installation enhances that feeling with video and photographic elements.
Put together by artist Tomas Saraceno, the Cloudy House installation addresses people's relationship with nature. It also provides a space to grapple with fears about the future of the world and human's place in it. Nevertheless, as existential as the Cloudy House installation is, for those who simply wish to revel in the aesthetics, it is at its core beautiful to behold.
