The charming writing implement is, for the most part, much like a regular wooden utensil with a graphite core, but the unsharpened end is where it differs from the norm. The ever so subtly deviant object by Joao Goncalves features a long slot cut out of the grip.
Most visible when the instrument is turned on its side, the slit may limit the length of led within, but it otherwise only adds to the function of the tool. A Clip Pencil can simply be slid over a short stack of paper to hold them in place. Designed in various colors, an assortment of them can even act as organizational tabs and bookmarks.
