Nostalgic Music Controls

An iOS Developer Created a Click Wheel App That Can Control Music

Elvin Hu, an iOS developer, built a click wheel app for iOS devices. The click wheel app mimics the controls of Apple's old iPods and it allows users to control their music. The app was built with Swift, and it gives users the ability to move to the next song, a previous song, or play and pause their music. Hu also added click sounds to further match the listening experience from iPod devices.

Apple has not yet approved the app, however, it could offer users a nostalgic listening experience. Elvin Hu commented on his rationale for creating the app, “Before my family could afford one, I would draw the UI layout of the iPhone on lids of Ferrero Rocher boxes.”
