Two Parkland Students Launch CLEO to Empower Seniors with Technology

In a bid to make a positive impact in their community, Jack Rostock and his best friend, Noah Smith, have initiated a program focusing on Computer Literacy Education Outreach (CLEO). The organization has a unique mission centered on empowering seniors with essential digital literacy skills to bridge the generational gap and provide older individuals with the latest digital technology.

Originally launched in Fort Myers, the CLEO program has witnessed expansion into other regions, reflecting its success and relevance. Jack and Noah are committed to the growth of the initiative, aspiring to cultivate positive relationships with seniors in various communities.

“It was our first time, and I did not know what to expect. We helped the residents to learn the basics of technology, such as how to use apps or work with emails,” said Jack Rostock. “We have many clubs at our school, but this was different, and we helped older people learn about computers.”
