The Citroen Aircross Concept Features a Compressed Air Powertrain

The Citroen Aircross Concept keeps alive Citroen's recent tradition of giving due importance to air, whether it's compressed air in a powertrain or air-channeling aerodynamic upgrades. This new concept does a great job highlight new communication technologies as well as unique interior design and entertainment options.

The Citroen Aircross Concept is powered by a hybrid system that brings together a 70-kW rear electric motor with a 160-kW THP engine. The plug-in powertrain offers all-electric driving with a range of 50 km. The setup allows the vehicle to zoom from zero to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds. It's also fuel efficient, offering 138 miles per gallon.

This vehicle goes to show that performance doesn't need to be sacrificed in eco-friendly vehicles, which bodes well for the industry and the environment at large.
