Citroen Follows Up the Ami with New Buggy Concept

French automobile brand Citroën has unveiled the electric Buggy Concept, a follow-up to its innovative micro-mobility vehicle, the Ami.
Citroën's Ami was first developed in France as an urban mobility solution for those too young to hold a full driver's license. The compact, all-electric vehicle was equipped with a 5.5 kWh battery with a range of 43 miles could reach a top speed of 28 mph.
Now, the Buggy Concept arrives as an upgraded version of the Ami with a design that is “dedicated to leisure and designed for adventure." According to the company, the new vehicle ergonomics and aesthetics draw inspiration from the world of construction and industrial design. "The My Ami Buggy Concept needed to be functional and straightforward, in the purest spirit of iconic and contemporary industrial objects,” said a spokesperson from Citroën.
