Child Mascot Makeovers

Chuck E. Cheese Will Be Getting a Hip New Look

Remember Chuck E. Cheese? The cute little mouse and mascot of the namesake restaurant and arcade who wore a backwards hat and high-top sneakers? Well, this cute and cuddly cartoon is getting a serious makeover. According to Brand Channel, Chuck E. Cheese will be turned into a cool and hip rock 'n' roll-style character, and he will also get a new voice from Jaret Reddick, who is the lead singer of the band Bowling for Soup.

Chuck E. Cheese's makeover will be accompanied by a national marketing campaign beginning on July 5. The campaign will comprise TV, digital and in-store marketing efforts, including four television spots to promote Chuck E. Cheese's new "contemporary" look. These spots will center on the fun things kids can do at the restaurant and arcade, such as celebrate their birthdays and having fun, as well as promote the mascot's new, contemporary image.
