Christopher Shannon Fall/Winter 2018 Boycotts Fashion Weeks

The Christopher Shannon Fall/Winter 2018 collection strayed from conventional Fashion Week debuts and was showcased at a studio in East London. The label has never been recognized for conforming to the traditional norms of fashion and has always pushed boundaries. Shannon states that this decision was based off simple boredom; he felt as if he was coming to know a place of routine and systematic practices, so he stepped back and made his own decisions.
The new approach of the Christopher Shannon Fall/Winter 2018 project is based upon the idea that there is no expectation—simply make what you want to make and be who you are. Shannon brushes off the conventional fashion pressures and produces pieces that boast "No One Cares" on shirts and sweaters. There is also "Emotive Text" accenting some pieces as well. The collection features a few collaborative Hi-Tec pieces such as footwear, outerwear and tracksuits.
A notable item from the collection is a coat crafted from a re-purposed sleeping bag.
