In an effort to get kids to eat their veggies, McDonald's Japan has added some extra ingredients to its classic chicken burger. Providing parents and children with a healthier menu option, the new hybrid patties are made from mixed vegetables and chicken.
The grilled patties contain a blend of chicken that has been mixed with a combination of edamame, corn and carrots. The patty is then topped with lettuce, tomato and a bakery-style bun. The vegetable-infused chicken burgers also feature a special sauce, made from onion, tomato and paprika. If requested, the combo version of this burger can include a side salad of purple cabbage, corn and red pepper, topped with a zesty basil sauce.
The new vegetable-infused patty is a great option for children who love chicken burgers, but may not be willing to indulge in veggies as often as they should.
