Facebook's Bot Store Will Allow Food Ordering Through Messaging
M — March 18, 2016 — Social Media
While chat apps typically focus on accelerating user to user communication, Facebook is aiming to add a business to consumer focus with its new messaging feature, Bot Store. The app will only further accelerate what the Facebook messaging platform currently offers acting as a personalized butler of sorts, allowing consumers to place food orders, book hotels and shop all from one space.
The Bot Store is a more interactive form of Facebook's current messaging platform that allows consumers to leverage a tech-based assistant to complete their favorite services. The app will allow consumers to shop, order and download a wide variety of services from taxis, flights and hotels to movie tickets, books and even banking. The commands will all be placed through the Bot Store extension for simplified use.
